It’s Showtime!

people listen up! As of today we have cars registered for the show from Vermillion, Ohio and Kenmore, New York as well as the usual 5 state area. My feeling is if these people can make it from these distances you can make it from your house! I appreciate all of you who have offered to help with the show as much as I appreciate all of those already helping. People like you make running this club a lot easier. Now its time for the rest of you to do your part. Register your car for the show!

Please take a moment to check out our three new advertisers. You’ll be glad you did. First there’s The Chocolate Times owned by member Bob Roland. Bob drives a 1972 Triumph Stag which still has it’s original engine! Then there is CPW Insurance Co.’s classic car specialist and member Richard Coker offering some great pricing on insuring our classic and special interest vehicles. Finally there is longtime member Howard Fitzcharles. You’ll remember me mentioning Howard's homepage on the internet a couple of issues back. If you’re online you need to check it out.

As you may know our advertising was designed to cover the cost of the newsletter to help keep our dues lower. That plan worked well for several years but as our membership grew the cost of the newsletter soon eclipsed the advertising revenues. For the past couple of years the ads barely covered the postage. Our new advertisers have once again put the newsletter "in the black" and I’m sure you will all sleep better tonight just knowing that!

Events May 18th-24th

For the next NBCC event we will join forces with the Austin-Healey Club for a trip back in time. We will meet at the Outback Steak House parking lot just east of I-65 at the Moore’s Lane exit at 11:30 Sunday May the 18th and leave at 12 noon for a short drive that will take us back a few centuries to a time when cars weren’t even dreamt of. This will be a feat of Herculean proportions and something of this magnitude carries a small price tag. That price is $8 per person for adults and less for children. There will be booths, crafts, and shows to please all ages. Food will be available and the event is outdoors. We have VIP parking in the grass so wear walking shoes and something plaid.

May 17th-13th annual Jaguar Concours at Churchill Downs in Louisville KY. FMI
