July 95
NBCC on Tour '95!

Here is a brief rundown of the events we’ve had to date. First was our drive to Milton, TN and Manuel’s Cajun Country Restaurant and Store with the Austin-Healey Club. This was definitely a nice trip. Great drive, good food even live Cajun music! Next came the drive to Lynchburg. Super weather, more great roads, excellent food, some people even had oil pressure! (None for me thanks, I’m trying to wean the Jag!) Then a few of us made the Townsend show. The weather looked threatening all day but held out for the show. A good turn out with lots of variety, you should try to make this show next year if possible. Very nice mountain setting just a short drive from Gatlinburg. Watch for hail storms on Sunday morning though! Next of course was our show. I’m sure that several of you were scared by the weather. Weenies! The weather did give us a scare Friday night, and a short blast Saturday morning during the cleanup session as well. Not to mention the shower during vote counting. But all that aside things went exceptionally well. 68 entrants (car
and bike) with quite a few most of us had never seen before. If you missed it, shame on you! Finally came the trip to the Corvette Museum on June 4th. Another great although hot day. The museum was extremely interesting weather you are a Corvette fan or not. There is no mistaking they had, and still have, a tremendous impact on the automotive world since their inception in 1953. So that should bring you up to date on what we’ve done so far in 1995 and it’s only July! Check out our newly designed events calendar which will hopefully make it easier for you to keep up with our events and
dates. Also be sure to check out page 7 for your last chance to pay dues this year. See you soon!

The Worst Part of This Job.
I  believe there is no harder job for a newsletter editor than dealing with the passing of a friend. But unfortunately one our fellow members passed away recently. Most of you who come to our events regularly will remember Jack Jennings. He and his wife Ann own a beautiful 1980 Limited Edition MGB and a very nice baby blue TR3, both of which were at last year’s show. Jack passed away a few weeks ago (just before this year’s show). His passing will leave a void in those of us who knew him well and he will not be forgotten. Our hearts go out to Ann and the rest of the Jennings family and I hope they know that we as a club share in their loss.
Condolences
The NBCC would like to extend our sympathies to  members John and Faye Kieffer on the passing of John’s mother last month.
