An Event Is Born!

On May 28th the Nashville British Car Club delivered a 70 car 14 motorcycle event like no other in this area. Perfect weather and an excellent venue provided the encouragement for large numbers of participants, vendors and spectators. Parts vendors came from as far away as Genoa City, Wisconsin to join T-shirt, New Orleans style Sno-ball and body jig sellers from the Tennessee area. Not to mention our own incredible NBCC show T-shirts (limited #'s are still available), Liz Fischers' Snapple stand and Club Photographer Fred Pettee's wonderful pictures of the event's cars on sale right then and there! The mood was festive as the temperature was moderately warm with a nice breeze keeping everyone comfortable. As you look over the results sheet take notice of the large area we drew participants in from. Cars from Memphis and Knoxville, bikes from Atlanta etc. The event came off with surprisingly few problems for a first time effort and everyone was already
talking about things to incorporate into next year's show! If you didn't make it, you missed an exciting day where an unusual cross mixing of people and cultures took place with total non-chalance. Most everybody mentioned how friendly everyone was and how rarely you see Jaguar and Bentley owners chatting freely with motorcyclists and Sprite owners. As it stands right now, we are planning the same basic event next year on the same weekend so go ahead and mark your calendar now! I expect to see ALL the NBCC members there next year  helping the British car  and motorcycle cause!
