Sept. 95
NBCC On Tour '95!
H ow many times this summer has someone told
you “it’s not the heat, it’s the humidity”? Well I think everyone on July’s
tour down the Natchez Trace Parkway and August’s tour to Cragfont in
Castailian Springs will agree with me when I say “it’s the @%$*
HEAT!” Man it was hot! But still we had NO overheated cars! The ol’ Sprite
was pushing 225F a few times but always came back
down on the easy parts of the trips (although I’m still peeling from
Cragfont!). Meeting members from the Huntsville club was very nice and
one very popular member brought an ice cream maker and hand cranked some
wonderful vanilla ice cream. He said he got a few strange looks when people
noticed the ice cream freezer strapped to his luggage rack as he toured
the Trace! I’m sure the worst of the summer heat is behind us for this
year’s tours and we will schedule more evening and or indoor events for
next summer. There is even talk of quarterly socials and get togethers
of non-auto related events so keep watching!
Many of you have missed several great events.
Mark your calendars now so you don’t forget!
